Private sessions are a unique opportunity for personalized care. Together, we will create a custom plan that takes into consideration your unique body type, environment and current lifestyle to assess your needs and identify what will bring you into greater harmony and health.

 
 

Yoga

A private yoga session is a great opportunity to learn and work on alignment specifics, details, core, breath, supporting your strength and retraining the weaknesses, as well as cultivating a personal home practice.

 

Yoga Therapy

The IAYT (International Association of Yoga Therapists) defines Yoga Therapy as “the professional application of the principles and practices of yoga to promote health and well-being within a therapeutic relationship that includes personalized assessment, goal setting, lifestyle management, and yoga practices for individuals or small groups.”

These sessions include Yoga on the mat (and off), when you arrive at discomfort/challenge. What do you do? Push through/ avoid. This takes many forms, and it helps to have a Teacher/coach to help you stay focused and present, because the brain science would clearly show how, typically, we go to well worn patterns that keep us stuck. This level of practice may include dialog, meditation, yoga nidra, advanced meditation & FreeBack.

 
 

Massage

This is a hands-on approach using a variety of modalities and individual techniques such as; relaxation, deep tissue bodywork, and basic yoga inspired range of motion which informs massage. Bodywork could be considered touching with purpose. This purpose may be directed toward relieving muscle pain and stress, increasing body awareness, or bringing balance to a life in crisis. You may find benefits in the active stimulation of skin, lymph and blood, relaxation of the muscles and nervous system, elimination of metabolic waste, and a stretching of connective tissues. By opening up the body, energy can flow more easily, which helps alleviate common problematic conditions such as lower back pain, arthritis, headaches, digestive difficulties, menstrual problems and stress-related conditions. *All bodywork sessions are with Jeff Thomlinson only.

 
 

Each private session contains our established yoga therapy tools of: Assessment, Adaptation, and Relationship. Which means we have an initial conversation which could include physical assessment/lifestyle evaluation and setting new intentions (key for brain state change).  Adaptations include the unique techniques and skills we would provide.  Relationship is another way to say accountability, we want you to go away from the session with a plan and practices to repeat regularly, and reinforce that with communication with us, or your designated support person (family/friend).
